A female from a Gulf nationality took her phone to be repaired in a mobile maintenance shop five years ago, only to get surprised that her files and photographs were stolen by a technician who took charge of her mobile phone.
The case, which was reported to Abu Dhabi Criminal Court, started with a Gulf female going to a mobile phone shop in 2013 to repairr phone, and gave the shop keeper the confidence to leave her phone with him for two days, because she was a frequent customer, buying her phones and accessories from the same shop.
The worker took the opportunity of having the phone for two days, and transferred pictures and videos of the girl to his own phone.
The defendant denied all the charges against him, while the witness of the prosecution, an employee in the IT crimes department, presented pictures of the text messages exchanged between the technician and the female, indicating that the accused attempted to blackmail the girl.
