Woman tries to kill her two children, attempts suicide in Dubai

An Asian mother in her thirties was stripped of compassion, affection, when she tried to kill her two children, one aged 4 years and the other aged two, using a pillow to suffocate them before she attempted suicide by slitting her wrist with a knife.

According to the indictment, which was examined by the Dubai Criminal Court, the mother and her two children were rescued by the husband and his brother and sister, who prevented their death. According to the medical report, the two-year-old suffered total heart and lung failure, and severe brain damage. He was later declared brain dead. The elder son sustained neck bruises and has recovered.
