Sharjah: Female inmate assaults policewoman following a dispute

An Arab female prisoner assaulted a policewoman who works in the female correctional institutions while doing her job, following a dispute between the two.

The defendant was brought before the Sharjah Criminal Court, headed by Judge Mahmoud Abker, where she faced the charges of assaulting a female policewoman who is a Corporal, pushing her with her hands, giving her an inappropriate gesture, and verbally insulting her.

The court decided to delay the case, until hearing the defendant’s statements in the incident, who is serving a sentence in prison for a drug case.
