Abu Dhabi: Asian man arrested for experimenting with marijuana in his home

Abu Dhabi Police arrested an Asian man who tried to grow Marijuana in his home, the man was growing them experimentally after setting up a suitable environment for the plant’s germination.

According to Colonel Taher Ghareeb Al Dhahiri, Director of the Drug Control in the Criminal Security Sector, “He confessed to plans of expanding the cultivation of the new strain if he succeeds, but his attempt failed”.

The case was referred to the Public Prosecution for the proper legal procedures.

Al Dhahiri added “Citizens and residents should cooperate with the police and report any illegal or suspicious behaviour to stop drug dealers, smugglers, and drug traffickers and help us strengthen our response in such situations”.
