Light rainfall has been reported this morning in various parts of the UAE and more is expected today, particularly in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, cloudy weather is also persisting across the country.
Early this morning, Abu Dhbai, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and Umm Al Quwain witnessed light rain.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), cloudy skies are expected on Friday and Saturday, with rain expected over the northern emirates and in the west over the weekend.
“The amount of clouds will increase over scattered areas of the country, with a chance of light rain mainly over western coasts, islands and some of the eastern area,” – NCM
Moderate to fresh winds will be witnessed at times, especially over the sea and exposed areas causing blowing dust at times. Humidity is likely to increase by night and early morning over some coastal areas. Sea is expected to be moderate to rough at times, especially with clouds activity in the Arabia Gulf and the Oman Sea.
