Dubai: Young GCC national on trial for raping a student

A 25-year-old man of a Gulf nationality denied in a court hearing the rape of a student in a school in Dubai, one day after the victim was raped by his colleagues.
In his testimony to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the victim stated that he had been raped by a number of his colleagues, who were on trial before the Juvenile Court. The day after the incident he received a call from the accused, who was a friend of the other juvenile offenders. The accused told him that he knew what had happened and wanted to meet him, he also told him that he knew all the details. He then took him to his house and raped him there before returning him to school.
According to the investigations, the victim is suffering from psychological problems because of what happened to him.
For his part, the accused denied committing the crime, the criminal court postponed the hearing to consider the case for May 3rd.
