Three young Emirati women aspire to contribute to solving the water crisis facing many countries. Asma Ramahi, Aisha Al Balushi and Bara Ahmed are working on this noble goal through an innovative project to develop a “smart pill” that uses nanotechnology to reduce the impact of drinking contaminated water. This pill will rebuild beneficial microbial particles in the human body and improve the lives of billions of individuals.
Following the establishment of an emerging biotechnology company called ZEOPI, UAE pioneers have begun to create unique nanotechnology that transforms key natural materials and beneficial bacteria into nanoparticles to improve the health of the digestive system.
Preliminary studies were very promising. The results showed the ability of the product to rebuild the beneficial microbial communities in the human body, relax the intestinal flora, reduce blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
