A teenager, who was recklessly driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle, caused the death of one person and injured three of his friends, all Emiratis, on Friday at Khawaneej Street in Dubai.
Brigadier Abdul Halim al-Hashemi, acting Director of Al-Qusais Police Station, said that the vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old boy who exceeded the speed limit of 100 km/hr, driving it at more than 140 km/hr at the time of the accident.
He added that speeding led to the collision of the vehicle with the street barrier and a lighting pillar, which led to the car deteriorating several times.
