Just six months after trading threats about “nuclear buttons,” President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met in Singapore this morning . This was the first-ever meeting between the leaders of the U.S. and North Korea.
The following are highlights of what the US president stated after the historic summit in Singapore with North Korea president:
-We are ready for new era with North Korea as their president committed to denuclearization of Korean Peninsula and destroy sites of ballistic missiles.
-Korea sanctions remain for now until complete denuclearization of Korean Peninsula.
-We will stop the military drills with South Korea and will invite North Korea president to visit the White House and he agreed.
President Trump and South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in talked on the phone moments ago, following Trump’s summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
President Trump is currently on his way back to the US following the summit in Singapore.
