Sharjah: Asian man gets 3 months in jail and deportation for assault and theft

Sharjah Criminal Court sentenced an Asian man to three months in prison and deportation after biting an Arab girl on the face while trying to steal her bag in Abu Shagara area. He was also fined five thousand dirhams for possession of the stolen phone from the victim.

The victim stated that she was heading to her house in the area of ​​Abu Ghagara at 12:00AM. After leaving her vehicle, the convicted man stopped her pretending to ask for the directions of a grocery store. She answered him, he then approached her and asked for 10 dirhams.

The woman was surprised after that with his attack, biting her face and stealing her bag which contained a mobile phone and an Abaya. The defendant then fleed the place.
