Saudi police officers hand out roses to female drivers on landmark day

As the clock ticked past midnight on Saturday, Saudi women, armed with their new Saudi driving licences, drove around the capital Riyadh.

Saudi women took the driver’s seat and made history, after the long-awaited shift in policy which means that millions of women will have the right to legally get behind the wheel.
