Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director of Traffic Department in Dubai police, said that there have been 1250 traffic accidents in Dubai during the first half of this year, resulted in 76 deaths and 884 others injured including 390 drivers, 293 passengers and 201 pedestrians.
He pointed out that Emirates road was most dangerous with 30 accidents resulted in 14 deaths and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed road had 72 accidents and 8 death while Shiekh Zayed road had 69 accidents and 8 deaths.
Sudden swerving was the main reason behind deaths this year so far with 317 accidents resulted in 23 deaths and 268 others were injured. Not leaving enough distance between vehicles caused 235 traffic accidents and 15 deaths.
