Sharjah: African maid accused of stealing 10,000 Dhs and jewelry from her employer

The Sharjah Criminal Court, receieved a case involving an Ethiopian maid, who stole money and gold jewelry from her employer and fled the house.

According to the case details, the defendant was able to steal 10,000 Dhs and jewelry with a value of 4,000 Dhs from her employer’s house and escape afterwards. When the victim discovered the theft, she informed the police who were able to reach and arrest the suspect. The suspect was then searched by the police, who found a gold necklace belonging to her employer.

The maid denied any charges to the prosecution, and to the court, and said she got the necklace with the consent of her employer, as a gift.

The court postponed the case for the second of next September.
