Abu Dhabi: Man assaults security officer after being tricked into drinking Alcohol

A man was served what he thought was a regular barley drink by his friend who claimed that the drink will relieve his stomach pain, but was actually an Alcoholic drink.

The man left his friend’s place not knowing what had happened to him as it is the first time he drinks Alcohol, he was then noticed by a security man passing by, who tried to catch him, but the accused resisted, and caused injuries to the security man which were described later in the forensic report, but the security man managed to arrest him and was brought to trial.

The defendant denied the charge of assaulting the security man, stating that he was in a state of unconsciousness, and that his friend tricked him into drinking Alcohol.

The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court postponed the case to a hearing on September 26th.
