Fujairah: GCC man sentenced to 5 years imprisonment after raping a maid

The Fujairah Criminal Court sentenced a GCC national to five years in prison after being found guilty of raping a domestic worker by force.

The details of the case go back to when the accused went to an employment office claiming to need a maid for his house.

After an agreement of employment was reached with the office, the victim got on the car with him thinking she’s on the way to her new job. On the way, the accused raped her. The maid reported against the accused and he was arrested. After being interrogated by the prosecution, he was brought to trial, and denied the charge, however, the forensic report proved the incident.
