Abu Dhabi: Fire breaks out in apartment building, no injuries reported

Civil Defense and Abu Dhabi Police teams extinguished a fire that broke out in a high-rise (13-storey) residential tower in Khalidiya district of the Emirate at 9:30 pm. All residents were evacuated without any injuries.

The Abu Dhabi Police and the General Directorate of Civil Defense in the emirate called on the public not to gather in accidents and fires as it is a non-civilized behavior that may hinder the efforts of the fire and rescue teams and the arrival of civil defense vehicles and ambulance to the scene of the accident.

Brig Gen Mohammed Al Ketbi, director general of civil defence, called on residents not to obstruct police and ambulances from reaching the site of an emergency.
