The Abu Dhabi Criminal Court received the case of an Asian man on Wednesday, after he was accused by the Public Prosecution of killing another person who refused to allow him to marry his sister.
The prosecution referred the accused to the judiciary after receiving a report of the murder. It was revealed through the investigation that the reason for the crime was due to a dispute between the accused and the victim, in which the latter refused to refused the suspect who proposed to marry his sister.
They got into an argument on the matter and the victim brandished a knife. The suspect had struck him, which led to the man dying as a result of his injuries. The suspect claimed he did it in self-defence and that he had no criminal intent. The victim was found to have been drunk at the time of his murder.
