Dubai: Asian cleaner stabs colleague in leg, abdomen at restaurant

Dubai criminal court has received the case of an Asian worker who stabbed his Asian colleague three times in the hand, leg and stomach abdomen, causing him permanent injury. The reason behind the incident was a disagreement after the victim asked the defendant to make way so he can get to the refrigerator of the restaurant.

A forensic report about the victim’s injury showed the stabbing in his hand left him with constant pain and difficulty when trying to move his left fingers.

During the public prosecution investigation, the victim stated that on the incident day, he walked in a storage room at the restaurant. There was no space in the kitchen, the defendant was standing in the middle, chopping onion, and would not let the victim pass.

The defendant then verbally abused him, which prompted the victim to reply in the same way. He then took the victim by surprise by stabbing in the leg and abdomen.
