Sharjah: Woman assaults her ex-husband, prevents him from seeing his daughter

A young man (Arab nationality) complained before the Sharjah Misdemeanor Court stating that his ex-wife assaulted him with the help of her father in front of the Child Rights Protection Department of the Social Services in Sharjah while he was practicing his right to see his daughter on a weekly basis, which was granted to him by the Family Court in Sharjah. His ex-wife had previously prevented him from seeing his daughter for two consecutive years.

The victim, who appeared before the court yesterday morning in the presence of the accused, stated that his ex-wife and her father had insulted him and tried to assault him following a verbal conflict that took place between them because of her refusal to carry out the court order, which allowed him to see his daughter in the Children’s rights Protection department on a weekly basis.

The case was adjourned for the 19th of November to enable the accused to present her defense.
