Dubai: Asian man commits suicide after being blackmailed by coworker

Dubai Court of First Instance received the case of a man who was arrested for allegedly threatening a coworker with posting intimate photos of him with another coworker who left the country, which eventually led the man to commit suicide. The accused had requested a smart phone from the victim in return for not posting the picture on social media.

Case details reveal that the Asian man hanged himself from a bathroom ceiling in 2017. His suicide note demanded that the man be arrested for blackmail.

The police was able to track down the defendant after investigations, who turned out to be the deceased’s colleague.
