Dubai: Young GCC national jailed for reckless driving

Attorney General Salah Al Falasi, head of Traffic Prosecution in Dubai, stated that a report was received from the Rashidiya police station of a 20-year-old GCC man who was involved in a dangerous accident with a parked bus after recklessly driving his four-wheel car in Mirdif area.

Al-Falasi confirmed that the Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered that the driver is held for seven days in custody until further investigations are conducted, technical reports were also requested on the condition of the vehicle in terms of non-essential equipment. Witnesses’ testimonies will also be heard by the prosecution

Officials emphasized that such behaviour is not tolerated by traffic laws in the country, and harsh penalties are in place for violators.
