The Ministry of Health and Prevention has issued a circular to the directors of the medical sector, government and private hospitals, doctors, pharmacists, pharmacy assistants to withdraw the pharmaceutical product (JUSPRIN 81mg Tablet) produced by Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries.
The ministry explained that it withdrew and suspended the registration of the said product after results revealed that the product is not identical with its description and does not comply with the implementation of the guidelines of the GCC Health Council.
HE Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing Sector in the Ministry of Health and Prevention urged community members to stop using JUSPRIN, and to get rid of this drug if it is in stock. Dr. Amin also stressed the need to consult a doctor to provide alternatives to the medicine, pointing out the Ministry’s keenness on people’s health and safety.
