Al Ain: Arab woman faces fine, deportation for selling pharmaceuticals on Snapchat

Al Ain Court ruled a fine of 20,000 dirhams and deportation for an Arab woman accused of advertising medical supplies and illegally practising pharmacy. The court also sentenced her companion to a fine of 10 thousand dirhams and deportation from the country.

According to the police, an anonymous report was received about the presence of an Arab woman who advertised drugs and sexual stimulants through social media for a price ranging from 350 to 500 dirhams per package, she then met customers and delivered their orders in a private vehicle. The two suspects were arrested, the products were found after their vehicle was searched, and the prosecution charged them with practising an unauthorized profession.

For his part, the legal adviser Ammar Wasfi warned people against converting social media to a place for practising medical professions.
