Dr. Hassan Galadari, a professor of cosmetic dermatology at UAE University and a dermatology consultant, confirmed that girls who receive Botox and filler treatments are influenced by their peers or influencers on social media, while the reality is that they do not need any work done.
Dr. Hassan stated: “We received a case of a girl who suffered severe ulcers in her back, as a result of getting injected with unlicensed materials, by communicating with an unlicensed female practitioner on social media, who then came to her house and injected her with the material, which negatively affected her health. UAE law does not allow cosmetic surgery for those under 18 years of age, except with the consent of their guardian. We actually receive cases for girls under the age of 18 who want to undergo cosmetic procedures such as fillers and botox, although there is no need for them, especially for those under the legal age. ”
He also pointed out that nowadays, doctors became salesmen, taking advantage of the patient to increase their profit.
