Dubai: Manager accused of sexually assaulting female employee

Dubai Criminal Court began the trial of an Asian businessman accused of raping a European female who works for him, after luring her into a restaurant near his home and harassing her on the way to his house.

The victim went inside his house to receive a pay cheque but was surprised by the defendant attacking her, so she informed the police after consulting her country’s consulate.

The incident is alleged to have taken place on September 27 last year, and the man denied a sexual assault charge in court.

The hearing was adjourned until May 28.
