The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts weather over the coming five days to be cloudy in general with a chance of some rainfall.
Following is a detailed weather forecast issued by the NCM today for the rest of the week.
Monday: Cloudy in general, Convective rainy clouds will form associated with lightning and thunder activity at times over scattered areas especially by daytime.
Wind: Moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility and wind speed of 25 – 35, reaching 60 km/hr with cloud activity.
Sea: Moderate becoming rough at times with cloud activity in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy in general, Convective rainy clouds will form associated with lightning and thunder activity at times especially over some internal and eastern areas. Temperatures tend to fall over some internal areas.
Wind: Moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds in general, freshening at times, causing blowing dust and sand with poor horizontal visibility and wind speed of 25 – 35, reaching 50 km/hr inland with cloud activity.
Sea: Moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate becoming rough at times with cloud activity in Oman Sea.
Wednesday: Partly cloudy to cloudy in general, especially over some southern and eastern areas with a chance of some rainfall.
Wind: Moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times, causing blowing dust, with a speed of 25 – 35 km/hr, and reaching 45 Km/hr inland especially with clouds.
Sea: Moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Thursday: Humid in the morning, becoming partly cloudy to fair, with rise in temperatures over southern and eastern areas.
Wind: Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, with a speed of 20 – 30 km/hr, reaching 38 Km/hr.
Sea: moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough at times during daytimes in Oman Sea.
Friday: Fair to partly cloudy in general.
