School girl dies after being dragged by bus in Saudi

A girl in Saudi died after she was dragged by a school bus when her dress got caught in the vehicle’s door.

According to the Filipino Times, a video published in Saudi media showed the girl getting off the school bus as it stopped in a neighbourhood in Riyadh. The driver of the bus reportedly did not notice the girl’s predicament when he shut the vehicle’s door. He continued to drive away as the girl was helplessly dragged by the bus.

Police arrested the driver. He has since been charged with negligence, causing the death of the young girl.
