The Command and Control Centre at Dubai Police had received a report about a stolen Toyota in the jurisdiction area of Al Qusais Police Station when the vehicle owner had left the car engine running while dropping his son to school.
Within an hour, the stolen car was seized by the police station’s patrol.
Major-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, the commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation to First Corporal Khalid Ibrahim Al Mazmi and policeman Abduallrahem Hussain, for their efforts and dedication in their work, stressing that the honour comes in the framework of motivating and encouraging the employees of Dubai Police to exert more effort in providing high-quality services to the community.
For their part, Al Mazmi and Hussain expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation for the Dubai Police leadership, stressing that this is a badge of honour on their chests and an incentive for them to provide more efforts.
Dubai Police has been organizing awareness campaigns to warn drivers against the dangers of leaving vehicles unattended with the engine running in front shopping malls or houses as this makes them an easy target for thieves.
