Abu Dhabi’s Umm Al Emarat Park is hosting a month-long treasure hunt dedicated to books.
Every evening from Sunday, October 20, families will have the chance to search for more than 1,000 books that have been hidden around the park using maps and LED neon lights.
As well as the book itself, some of the titles will have extra prizes hidden inside, such as vouchers for restaurants at the park and free entry tickets to Louvre Abu Dhabi. Along with children’s books, the treasure hunt contains books for teenagers and adults.
“We’re extremely excited to launch the first-ever book hunt at Umm Al Emarat Park,” said Rasha Kablawi, head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communication Department. “This event will be great fun for all book lovers. With books for children, teens and adults, we hope to encourage people of all ages to read more. I would like to thank all of our partners that helped make this initiative and our Park’s ethos, ‘education through recreation’, come to life.”
The Neon Book Hunt is set to take place every day between 6pm and 9pm over the next month. Entry to the park costs Dh10.
