A maid steals money from her sponsor’s house

Dubai Public Prosecution referred an African maid to the criminal court after being charged for theft from her sponsor.

In detail, the victim stated during the investigation that on the morning she went to her workplace and left the maid at the house, and when her daughter returned from university, the maid stated that she was sick and the daughter gave her medicine. Three hours later, the daughter saw the maid carrying a plastic bag and went outside the house, she tried to call her but the maid was not responding. On the victim’s return from work, she found that the safe door was open and a golden necklace worth AED 700, AED 5000 cash, the maid’s passport and a phone worth AED 700 were missing. The victim called the police who arrested the defendant who confessed of the theft.
