Sharjah Criminal Court sentenced four Asians men to three years in prison, a penalty of AED 40,000, followed by deportation after they were found guilty of assaulting a guard and stealing construction materials from a company.
In detail, the case dates back to March 17, when a report was received from a company guard in the Sajaa industrial area about disguised men assaulted him and tied him and stole his phone.
Immediately, security teams rushed to the scene and found that the defendants stole building materials from the company warehouse and ran away.
They were later arrested and admitted the theft and assault.
The complainant stated before the court that he was able to dissolve the rope they had tied him with, and used the phone of one of the pedestrians in the road to inform the police and the owner of the company of the incident.
