A Gulf man sentenced to 7 years in prison for assaulting policemen

Fujairah court of appeal looked into the case of two Gulf young men who are accused of assaulting policemen, over speeding and drug abuse.

In detail, the first defendant was driving his car in another emirate accompanied by the second defendant where the police patrol asked him to stop, but he did not respond and ran away, then was chased by two police patrols until they reached to Fujairah.

The first defendant drove the car in the opposite direction at a speed of 160 km which endangered the life of the pedestrians, and his car collided with the two patrols, which resulted in the policemen injury and damage in the two cars. Then, the police managed to stop them and searched the car where they had found two empty syringes inside. The first defendant undergone drug test and his urine sample proved drug use.
