Abu Dhabi Police arrested two phone scam gangs

Abu Dhabi Police in cooperation with Dubai and Ajman police during “Be Careful” campaign have arrested two phone scam gangs of 28 Asians this February. The fraudsters were involved in fraud and scams over the phone to deceive their victims and seize their savings and bank accounts.

Lt. Col. Dr. Salem Huwimel Al-Amri, Director of the Department of Criminal Investigations, called on the public to be careful from scams, as fraudsters use various methods to deceive their victims. Abu Dhabi Police is keen to advise the public through its social media platforms about the dangers of the phone scams and we stress on the importance of reporting such incidents he added.
