Stole AED 1M from an investor and attempted to run over accident

Dubai Criminal Court began the trial of 3 Africans on the charges of stealing AED 1M coercively from an Arab man (53 years old) after deceiving him to purchase a property. They attacked, tried to run over him and fled with the amount.

The victim stated during the Public Prosecution investigations that the second defendant deceived him of completing a deal to buy a property in Dubai, and he met him in Al Mamzar area with the presence of the first defendant. When the victim showed the money, the first defendant stole it and rode a vehicle, when the victim tried to stop the vehicle, the third defendant who was driving the car hit him causing injuries and then the defendants escaped with the money.

A witness from Dubai Police stated that a report was received about the theft of AED 1M from an investor in Al Mamzar area. The victim said that one had stated that he worked as a “real estate broker” deceiving him to purchase a property valued at AED 1M, then other two attacked him and stole the amount. Dubai police managed to arrest all defendants and referred them to the Criminal Court.
