Abu Dhabi Police warns against throwing masks and gloves on the ground

Abu Dhabi Police has warned against throwing masks and gloves on the ground and public facilities after using them as it endangers the public health and environment. The public is urged to practice positive behaviors that preserves the environment and the urban landscape.

The police emphasize that throwing gloves and masks on the ground can contribute to infection transmission to other, stressing that the commitment of preventive measures is a shared responsibility among all.

The Traffic Law stated in Article No. 71 that “throwing waste from vehicles while driving is an offense” which will result in a penalty of AED 1,000 and 6 traffic points for violating drivers.

Abu Dhabi police calls on the community to cooperate with the concerned authorities in protecting the public health and environment by throwing gloves and masks in closed containers.
