Registrations for Phase III COVID-19 vaccine trials closed

Registrations for the Phase III trials of the COVID-19 inactivated vaccine have exceeded targeted testing numbers following an overwhelming community response. 31K+ volunteers registered for the trials – the highest number in the world for a Phase III COVID-19 vaccine trial.

Registrations are now closed, although volunteers can continue to follow up according to the approved protocols. Designated centres in ADNEC and Al Qarain (Sharjah) will also open remain open for follow ups and to complete trials still underway.
