Engineer Imran Sharaf, director of UAE’s Mars mission (Hope Probe): It has been more than two months since the launch of the hope probe, we have completed its orientation process and ensured the safety of its operating systems. The distance covered so far is almost 215,525,997 km and its expected arrival at Mars is February 2021.
“The most challenging phase of the hope probe mission is the Mars orbit insertion where we have to slow down its speed until the probe is in a stable orbit. Then comes the science phase where the scientific data is collected”, he added.
