Six hours after receiving the report … Ajman Police arrested 4 Asians on the charges of stealing AED 100,000 and murdering an investor. Where the defendants had entered the victim’s apartment, stole the money, killed him and fled, then attempted to leave the country but the police managed to disembark them from the plane minutes before take-off and arrested them.
In detail, Lt. Col. Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Ajman Police, stated that the operations room had received a report that a 32-year-old man of Asian nationality who lived in an apartment in the Rawdha area had been absent for three days.
The police patrol moved immediately to the victim’s apartment, and after waiting and not-responding, they opened the apartment for inspection and search in which they found a dead body. After collecting the evidential traces, it was found that the body belonged to the absent person in the report and that he was the investor and the owner of the building in which he lived.
By searching and investigating, the victim’s Asian neighbors in the same building were on the suspect list who were later found at Dubai airport about to leave the country. In coordination with the Dubai Police and the operations room at the Dubai airport, three of the suspects were found boarding the same plane. They were disembarked minutes before take-off, while the fourth suspect was arrested in the emirate of Sharjah, in cooperation with Sharjah Police.
By interrogating the suspects, they confessed to entering the victim’s apartment during his absence, searching it, stealing an amount of AED 100,000, and sharing it among themselves. Then they waited for him to enter the apartment, killed him with a white arm, and fled. Accordingly, the defendants and the case file were transferred to the Public Prosecution to complete the legal procedures.
