UAE approves changes in the residency and citizenship procedures

• Today, I chaired the first cabinet meeting in 2021 in Abu Dhabi … We began by approving the general framework for the UAE’s media strategy in the next phase. 2020 was a pivotal year in the global interest in the UAE, which requires different thinking and new interaction.

• The UAE ranks the 18th globally in the soft power index and the 11th of the influential countries. The UAE is also ranked among the most active countries in the international arena.

• We also approved the federal government’s public debt strategy, aiming to create a local currency bond market and revitalize the UAE’s financial and banking sector.

• We have also approved changes in the residency and citizenship procedures in the country by enabling international students to bring their families when financially capable. The UAE has become a regional educational destination with more than 77 universities and tens of thousands of students annually.
