Dr. Taher Al-Amiri, the spokesperson for NCEMA:
• 77.91% of the UAE population have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 69.35% have received the two doses of the vaccine.
• We have recently witnessed a decline in the number of confirmed cases, which affirms the success of the UAE’s strategy in handling the changes and developments of the crisis. Appropriate measures are taken based on the data collected which reflects the high flexibility required for the nature of the current situation.
• The decline in the number of infections means the gradual return to normal life, economic and tourism activity in a broader way, and the return of employees to their workplace, which achieves the concept of coexistence with the virus and enable humanity to beat the pandemic.
• The UAE is considered one of the “safest tourism destinations”, as we have witnessed an increase in internal and external tourism due to the set of precautionary and preventive measures.

• We recommend travelers to follow the travel protocols for their safety, ensure that their destination is among the green countries, inquire about the pandemic status at the destination, fully adhere to all means of personal protection set by WHO, and obtain health insurance against “COVID-19”.
• The UAE’s aid constituted 80% of the international response to the stumbling countries during the pandemic. The total number of medical aid, ventilators, testing devices, and PPE have reached 2,154 tons, which were directed to 135 countries around the world.
• We call upon everyone to adhere to the precautionary measures during the travel period, such as wearing masks, physical distancing and sterilization, even if they are not mandated at the destined country.
