Ajman Transport Authority launches new mechanism for calculating the tariff for taxis

As of next June 1, the Ajman Transport Authority launched a new mechanism for calculating the tariff for taxis in the emirate based on the principle of liberalizing fuel prices.

• The tariff pricing policy is subject to monthly review. The impact of the liberalization of fuel prices on the tariff will be announced on the following day of the Ministry of Energy’s announcement of fuel prices in the UAE.

• The tariff will be applied from the beginning of the following month, in addition to determining the minimum effective tariff for taxi vehicles at a price of 2.20 AED/litre.
