Dubai Police Honour Man for Returning AED 1,000,000

The Dubai Police have recently honoured Mr Tariq Mahmood Khalid Mahmood, an Indian national resident, for handing over AED 1,000,000 cash he had found in the elevator of his residential building to the Al Barsha Police Station. 

Brigadier Abdul Rahim bin Shafi, Director of Al Barsha Police Station, praised Mr Mahmood for his honesty and handing over the large sum to the nearest police station.

Brig. bin Shafi also awarded Mr Mahmood with a certificate of appreciation to emphasize the importance of collaboration between the community and police.

Brig bin Shafi further reaffirmed the Dubai Police’s keenness on strengthening the concept of community partnership and reinforcing the sense of responsibility among individuals.

Mr Mahmood thanked the Dubai Police for honouring him and expressed that this honour gives him great pride and joy.
