Sharjah Ruler announces launch of ‘Catch-up Programmes’ enabling UoS graduates to raise their GPA

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, announced the launch of a new study programme at the University of Sharjah (UoS) named “Catch-up Programmes”, which provides Community College’s graduates with a GPA of 2.0 an opportunity to improve their GPA to 2.5 and join the University’s bridging programme.

In a live telephone call during the ‘Direct Line’ programme broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television, a programme hosted by Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Sheikh Dr. Sultan said that, since the bridging programme at the University of Sharjah for Community College’s graduates only accepts graduates with a GPA of 2.5 out of 4, the University will launch a new programme dubbed as the ‘Catch-up Programmes’ for graduates who have a GPA of 2.0, giving them the opportunity to raise their GPA to 2.5 by taking catch-up courses and be able to join the bridging programme.
