Sharjah Ruler issues Decision forming University of Khorfakkan’s BoT

 H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, as the President of the University of Khorfakkan, has issued Decision forming the Board of Trustees of the University of Khorfakkan.

As per the Decision, the University of Khorfakkan’s Board of Trustees shall be formed, with its first term to be under the chairmanship of the Sharjah Ruler, and its members including: Professor Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Al Shamma’a, Chancellor of University of Khorfakkan; professor Dr. Hamid M. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of University of Sharjah; Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority; Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, Director General of the Police Science Academy in Sharjah; Dr. Hashim Abdullah bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Director of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport; Engineer Ali Saeed Bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Public Works; Hana Saif Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, Chairman of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority; Counsel Eisa Saif Ahmed Bin Handhal, Director of Sharjah Government Legal Department; Fouzia Rashid Al Qadi, Director of Khorfakkan City Municipality; and Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Al Shehhi, Board of Member of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Membership on the Board shall be for a term of three years, renewable for one or more terms. Those who have completed their membership term may be reappointed.
