The Abu Dhabi Court has sentenced three defendants in the assault incident during the Zamalek match to one month in prison and fined each of them 200,000 dirhams, for their conviction of committing the crime of assaulting the safety of public employees while performing their duties, and committing acts that would disturb public order and incite riots in front of the fans during the football match between Zamalek and Pyramids, which was held in Abu Dhabi on October 20.
The court explained in its conviction ruling that after examining the case and its circumstances and conditions on which the accusation was based, it was found that The accusation against the defendants were proven, taking into account what was stated in the statements of the victims in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, which were consistent with the content of the emptying of the cameras at the scene of the incident, and proving that the defendants did not comply with the regulatory controls, and assaulted the safety of public employees.
