Chaired by the Crown Prince, the Sharjah Executive Council has issued a decision regarding the conditional release of convicts in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The decision allows for the release of a convict for a period of one month or more, provided they have served three-quarters of their sentence.
For those serving life imprisonment, conditional release is permitted if at least 20 years of the sentence have been completed.
In all cases, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police will issue the release order, with notification provided to the Public Prosecution in Sharjah.
The decision outlines the conditions for conditional release, the obstacles that may prevent release, the grounds for cancellation, and provisions for its enforcement, execution, and publication.
