Dubai Police urges the Public to Report Negative Practices through 901 and ‘Police Eye’

The Dubai Police General Command has called on community members to report negative behaviours, such as distributing or posting promotional cards for massage services in public areas, by calling the toll-free number 901 or through the ‘Police Eye’ service available on the Dubai Police app.

This initiative is part of Dubai Police’s commitment to addressing negative practices, particularly the unlawful distribution of massage cards, and taking action against those responsible. The aim is to prevent illegal activities that could jeopardize the safety and security of the community.

Dubai Police announced the shutdown of four printing presses for violating regulations related to massage cards as part of their efforts to combat negative practices in cooperation with partners. They warned that anyone involved with these printing presses could face legal consequences.
Furthermore, Dubai Police advised against contacting the numbers found on the massage cards, as doing so could expose individuals to risks such as theft or extortion from those involved in these illegal activities.
Dubai Police confirmed that the General Department of Criminal Investigation had formed a team to receive reports about negative practices related to massage cards, available around the clock. This initiative reflects the Force’s ongoing commitment to protecting the community and ensuring safety in the emirate while working to eliminate such issues. They also commended community members for their cooperation by actively reporting these practices.

Moreover, Dubai Police reminded the public that the 901 call centre, dedicated to non-emergency cases, operates 24/7 with trained personnel ready to respond to community inquiries and reports promptly.

The Force also emphasized that the ‘Police Eye’ service on the Dubai Police app empowers users to report violations, behaviours, or actions that could result in legal consequences for offenders. They stated, ‘This initiative promotes community engagement in ensuring safety and security,’ highlighting the user-friendly nature of the service, which allows users to send text, voice, video, or image messages and pinpoint their location or that of the reported incident.

Dubai Police thanked all partners working to combat negative practices in the emirate, recognizing their collaborative efforts to develop plans and programs that aim to make Dubai a safer city. This includes ongoing campaigns to educate massage establishments about avoiding service promotions by distributing cards on vehicles and penalizing non-compliant businesses.
