H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone conversation with Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the call, they discussed the strategic and historical relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in a manner that serves their mutual interests and benefits their peoples.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE’s firm stance and consistent rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to destabilise security and stability in societies, contradict international law, and pose a threat to international peace and security.
He also expressed confidence in Pakistan’s commitment to promoting security and stability in South Asia and to shielding the region from factors of tension.
The UAE top diplomat emphasised that diplomacy and dialogue are the optimal means to reach peaceful solutions to all crises, contributing to the peoples’ aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity.
He further affirmed that the UAE will continue its efforts to support all initiatives aimed at achieving peaceful resolutions to regional and international conflicts and mitigating their humanitarian consequences.
