AED 1.6 million flying on Al Muteena Street

AED 1.6 million flew on Al Muteena Street after three thieves managed to steal a bag from a Chinese merchant and the money which was inside a bag scattered on the ground after the bag was ripped due to a brawl between the victim and the gangsters, the victim possessed a total amount of AED 1.7 million from a sale of electronic devices when he was assaulted.
During investigations the victim stated that he was driving his motorbike around 1.00pm towards Al Muteina Street carrying a back bag when he was attacked by the three defendants who sprayed pepper on his face and a hijacked the bag, leading to scattering of the money. They were able to collect an amount of AED 1.6 million while he was able to grab only AED 100,000.

Police investigations revealed that 10 defendants participated in the crime in planning and coordination, they distributed the money among them, before being arrested. And now the Dubai Criminal Court is looking into the case.
