Emirates Transport issues a circular on school bus movement

“Emirates Transport” has issued a set of awareness and advice to its drivers regarding the unstable weather conditions due to rains, water pooling and blowing dust which reduces horizontal visibility. In turn it also affects school transport operations in order to ensure the highest safety standards for students during the school trip.

Emirates Transport in coordination with the Ministry of Education circulated some procedures where school transport drivers were instructed to park the buses outside the public road and not to move during periods of low visibility due to bad weather such as rain, wind, and fog that affects visibility and traffic flow, to ensure no collision with other vehicles. Also urged drivers to turn on the air conditioning and external lights of the bus in case of temporary pause during which the driver shall not leave the driving seat.
School administrations should take into account morning delays during unstable weather that affects on visibility, safety and traffic flow on the roads.
